Meet our creators!
Mirabel Power
Mira is the youngest Power kid. She LOVES all things dinosaur and paleontology and is going to be a paleontologist when she grows up. 🦖🦕
She shares the sweetest and cutest cat ever (named Mochi) with her family. Plus, she knows ALL the words to the Lin-Manuel Miranda songs!
Leilani Power
I’m the second oldest Power child. I love all things art! I’m an avid reader and every piece of my schoolwork is covered with little Mira Madness doodles.
Chaska Power
I’m the eldest Power kid, and a lover of all things nerdy. I am the family’s storyteller, I can spell most words off the top of my brain, and I am an amateur artist and budding actor.
Mira Madness!
Mira Madness is our very own kid written and drawn comic strip!
Embrace the Madness… 😉
Here are some reviews of our podcast!
-
“The Power siblings didn’t want their pocast to sound like a book report, so they decided to act out a scene from the book they review each week… It helps set their podcast apart: Where else will you hear a dramatic reading of the first “Magic Tree House” book?”
New York Times for Kids – 2/28/2021 -
“This podcast squad knows how to pick books with real kid appeal. Why? Because many of them are children. Book Power for Kids stars family members Chaska, Leilani, and Mirabel Power, with their dad, Brennen. The character voices in their book reviews add high-spirited merriment for listeners.”
School Library Journal -
Book Power for Kids is a podcast by the Power Kids: Chaska, Lani, and Mirabel recommend fun books and give a brief idea about what the book is about. They give a brief synopsis, and then act out a little bit of the book. The Power Kids and family first tell you a little bit about the characters, then they read from the book in the voices of the characters. Recommended by Wyatt Ogier, age 10
The Guardian online -
“It’s not often you hear kids speaking authentically in the media, but Book Power for Kids really captures the Power family kids as they sound, not how somebody wants them to sound.”

“Hello Book Power for Kids! I have to say that your review/performance of Third Grade Mermaid was absolutely adorable! It even included the cutest scream I’ve heard in ages! But besides all that, the review itself was well thought out, and informative. Great job guys! Keep up the good work!”
Peter Raymundo, Author of Third Grade Mermaid
